Job summary

Meyer Contracting, Inc. is seeking a Senior Estimator / Project Manager focused on earthwork and mass grading. The role is based in Maple Grove, MN and involves leading take-off, cost estimation, and project leadership for civil/site work in the greater Midwest.

You will cultivate client relationships, lead value engineering with design teams, and mentor staff while driving revenue and project success. Equity ownership opportunities accompany compensation.

Qualifications

• 10 years Project Management experience.
• Value Engineering experience with design and client teams.
• Post-secondary education in construction or engineering related disciplines.
• Perform tasks in a detailed and organized manner.
• Creative problem-solving skills.
• Excellent leadership, interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Win work! Generate revenue for the company.
• Cultivate client relationships and develop business opportunities.
• Lead value engineering efforts in partnership with clients and architect/engineers.
• Utilize take-off and modeling software to provide value to clients and projects.
• Problem solve with project stakeholders to provide cost-effective solutions.
• Foster positive work with regional civil engineering firms and third-party testing agencies.
• Mentor and/or supervise Project Managers, Assistant Project Managers, Interns and Field Engineers.
• Accurately perform and review quantity take-offs for cost estimates.
• Provide effective project management to support our crews, clients and interests.
