Job summary

ADB Companies, LLC seeks a Senior Estimator with deep hands-on experience in telecommunications OSP estimating, wireline preferred. This role will lead the estimating process within the company's estimating software and cost database.

The Senior Estimator will build and maintain the standardized cost libraries, crew structures, and item templates that estimators across our OSP divisions Nationwide will rely on. The ideal candidate is a builder of both estimates and estimating systems.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience estimating OSP utility construction projects within the telecommunications industry required; wireline estimating strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated experience building unit prices from crew, production, equipment, and material inputs; pricing both discrete bids and MSA rate cards.
• Experience implementing or administering estimating software and building structured cost libraries, crews, and templates.

Responsibilities

• Builds unit prices from the ground up using crew makeup, production rates, equipment costs, and material costs for wireline and OSP utility construction projects.
• Prices both discrete bids and MSA rate cards, keeping the logic consistent and defensible across pricing formats.
• Takes an RFP, rate card, or bid package to a 90% complete estimate with documented assumptions, exclusions, and risks.
• Reads and interprets construction drawings, engineering designs, and blueprints to determine quantities, methods, and labor and equipment needs.
• Prepares estimates for subcontractor and vendor selection, and evaluates pricing against internal cost benchmarks.
