Job summary

Roers Companies is seeking an energetic Estimator to join our multifamily development and construction team. The candidate will coordinate with architects, engineers, and subcontractors to develop accurate budgets and optimize preconstruction pricing.

The ideal professional will possess strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of building codes, and the ability to manage takeoffs, vendor quotes, and bidding packages across multiple disciplines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management or other relevant field.
• 5+ years of estimating and/or project management experience in multifamily residential new building construction.
• Knowledge of current building codes and ADA laws.
• Experience with site construction, precast, wood framing, and interior finishes.
• Experience with typical construction cost estimating and budgeting.
• Ability to negotiate, draft, and execute subcontract agreements and commitments.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with architects and engineers during design to value engineer cost-effective solutions.
• Prepare bids and cost estimates for all project aspects.
• Evaluate alternates on project specifications to provide owner options.
• Lead the estimating effort with minimal supervision.
• Review construction docs to create bidding scopes for multiple disciplines.
• Assist in establishing job priorities based on contract guidelines.
