Williams Plumbing in Belgrade, Montana seeks a Senior Estimator to lead the development of accurate, competitive cost estimates for large mechanical and plumbing projects. You will shape bid strategy, mentor team members, and ensure consistency and quality across estimating efforts.

Ideal candidates have 7+ years of estimating experience on high-value, multi-trade bids, with expert HVAC/plumbing knowledge and strong leadership skills to own full-scope estimates.

Qualifications

• 7+ years estimating experience leading large, complex mechanical/plumbing bids.
• Expert knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and piping systems, including cost drivers.
• Independently own full-scope estimates for high-value, multi-trade projects.
• Ability to interpret drawings, specs, contracts and identify risk gaps.
• Experience leading bid strategy, subcontractor/vendor negotiations and pricing.
• Proven leadership in mentoring estimators and raising standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide oversight and final validation of complex estimates, ensuring accuracy and alignment.
• Lead bid strategy and risk assessment with Estimating Manager for high-value projects.
• Analyze documents to identify scope gaps, design risks, and cost exposures.
• Direct vendor and subcontractor strategy, including negotiations and buyout.
• Own final estimate development with full cost modeling (labor, materials, OH, contingency).
• Mentor the estimating team, driving standards and continuous process improvement.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

• Provide oversight and final validation of complex estimates, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and alignment across all scopes
• Lead bid strategy and risk assessment in partnership with Estimating Manager, shaping pricing approach for high-value projects
• Perform deep analysis of construction documents to identify scope gaps, design risks, and cost exposures
• Direct vendor and subcontractor strategy, including leveling, negotiations, and final buyout recommendations
• Own final estimate development, including full cost modeling (labor, material, equipment, subcontractors, overhead, contingency)
• Mentor the estimating team, driving standards, consistency, and continuous process improvement

WHAT YOU BRING:

• 7+ years of estimating experience with a track record of leading large, complex mechanical/plumbing bids
• Expert-level knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and piping systems, including cost drivers, constructability, and installation methods
• Proven ability to own and deliver full-scope estimates independently for high-value, multi-trade projects
• Advanced expertise in interpreting drawings, specs, contracts, and identifying risk gaps before bid
• Demonstrated experience in leading bid strategy, subcontractor/vendor negotiations, and final pricing decisions
• Strong leadership presence with experience mentoring estimators and influencing team standards and performance
