Based in Channelview, TX, you will prepare detailed estimates for civil, structural, and mechanical scopes, develop labor/material pricing, review drawings, and collaborate with project teams. Minimal travel and a 40–45 hour work week are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field; or 10 years experience.
• 10+ years estimating experience in industrial construction, focusing on mechanical/piping.
• Strong knowledge of civil and structural construction methods and cost drivers.
• Proficiency with Trimble Accubid and Excel.
• Ability to interpret P&IDs, isometrics, civil drawings, and structural plans.
• Minimal travel for pre-bid site visits.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for civil, structural, and mechanical scopes with emphasis on piping and mechanical systems.
• Perform quantity takeoffs and develop labor, material, and equipment pricing using Accubid and Excel.
• Review drawings, specifications, and scope documents for accuracy and completeness.
• Collaborate with project management, engineering, and construction teams to validate assumptions.
• Develop pricing for lump sum, unit rate, and time-and-materials proposals.
• Develop construction schedules in Microsoft Project.
• Analyze subcontractor and vendor quotes to ensure alignment with scope and standards.
• Identify project risks, exclusions, and value-engineering opportunities.
• Support bid reviews, estimate reconciliations, and post-bid handoff meetings.
• Maintain estimating databases, historical cost data, and productivity benchmarks.
