Job summary

ProSource Group in New York City seeks an Estimator to join its office-based team. You will prepare complete estimates for commercial masonry and restoration projects, reviewing drawings and bid documents, performing quantity take-offs, pricing labour, materials and subcontracted work, and coordinating with leadership on final submissions.

The role requires at least four years of construction estimating experience with a focus on masonry and restoration, and the ability to work independently

Qualifications

• Minimum of four years of relevant construction estimating experience.
• Experience estimating commercial masonry and restoration work.
• Ability to prepare full estimates independently, from take-off through submission.
• Strong understanding of drawings, specifications, masonry methods and restoration scopes.
• Good knowledge of labour, material and equipment pricing.
• Strong analytical, organisational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed estimates for commercial masonry and restoration projects.
• Review drawings, specifications and bid documents to identify scope, requirements and potential gaps.
• Complete quantity take-offs and price labour, materials, equipment and subcontracted work.
• Obtain and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations.
• Assess access, site logistics, sequencing and existing conditions when developing estimates.
• Document assumptions, exclusions and clarifications to support complete and accurate bids.
• Coordinate with the President on pricing, bid reviews and final submissions.
• Maintain estimating records and communicate scope and pricing to the project team during handover.
• Manage bid deadlines and multiple estimating assignments.
