YOUR NEXT OPPORTUNITY:

The Senior Estimator - Low Voltage is responsible for preparing bid and submittal documents and cost estimates for electrical construction projects. The Senior Estimator leads project estimates and collaborates with other estimators, suppliers, and clients.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

• Prepare estimates from quantity take-offs and complete computer printouts.
• Identify key parts of the project that influence competitiveness.
• Review specifications, drawings, and attend pre-bid meetings to define scope and estimate contents.
• Evaluate areas for potential value engineering and cost savings.
• Lead personnel in preparing discipline sub-estimates.
• Maintain all documents and data backing up estimate figures.
• Develop labor productivity rates and unit costs based on site conditions and historical data.
• Prepare detailed material and equipment lists and solicit quotes from qualified suppliers/subcontractors.
• Ensure timely completion of client-required documents.
• Draft scope and proposal letters for bids and negotiated projects.
• Review scope, technical requirements, and pricing with the Chief Estimator before bid submission.
• Post-bid, meet with project management to explain scope and potential issues.
• Keep all estimate backup files updated and maintain the estimating software.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings.
• Proficiency in performing estimating calculations.
• Experience estimating various project types and supervising group efforts.
• Mentoring skills for developing estimators.
• Strong customer focus and communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and estimating software (e.g., Accubid, Bluebeam).
• Ability to prioritize, manage multiple tasks, and adapt under pressure.
• Effective written and oral communication skills.
• Self-motivated, proactive, and team-oriented attitude.
• Ability to interact professionally with all levels of staff, vendors, and clients.

WHAT YOU BRING TO US:

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 4 years of estimating or relevant experience.
• Experience with estimating software and CAD or 3D modeling software.
• Relevant education, training, or experience can be considered.

TRAVEL: Up to 10%

WORKING CONDITIONS: Primarily indoor work with occasional site visits, including sitting, standing, walking, typing, and lifting up to 30 lbs. Environmental conditions vary from low to loud noise levels. We comply with ADA and applicable laws for reasonable accommodations.

Pay Range

$95,400 - $125,200 annually, depending on experience, skills, and location.
