Confidential Search in East San Diego County, CA is seeking a Senior Estimator to lead its estimating group for underground utilities and heavy civil projects. This office-based role requires ownership of numbers, team leadership, and delivering competitive bids for public agencies and major utility owners.

You will mentor 3-5 estimators, perform take-offs, manage pricing databases, and collaborate with Operations on bid hand-off, risk, and change orders. On-site in San Diego area.

Qualificações

• 6+ years in underground utility or heavy civil estimating.
• Experience leading a team of estimators.
• Experience bidding public works and utility-owner projects with prevailing wage & DIR.
• Proficient with B2W, Accubid or HCSS (HCSS HeavyBid preferred).
• Strong Excel and MS Office, P6/MS Project.

Responsabilidades

• Lead and mentor a 3-5 estimator team.
• Build production-based estimates for large underground utility and civil projects.
• Prepare competitive bids for public agencies and utility owners.
• Analyze RFPs, scopes, plans and specs; perform take-offs and bid schedules.
• Lead pre-bid meetings and bid strategy sessions.
• Define sub and supplier scopes, solicit pricing, and maintain pricing databases.
• Review estimates with Operations and obtain approvals.
• Support project managers with hand-off and change orders.
