Job summary

Corvant, a provider of specialty HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical services for mission-critical environments, seeks a Chief Estimator to oversee budgets and estimates for all projects bid and awarded.

You will establish procedures, train estimating resources, review plans, and coordinate with teams to ensure accurate pricing and schedules across data centers, healthcare, manufacturing and education facilities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree preferred in construction management or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of estimating experience required.

Responsibilities

• Reviews project plans and specifications and coordinates with the team to confirm complete scope.
• Identify risk issues and their order of magnitude.
• Solicit subcontractor and/or supplier information & pricing.
• Prepare bid instructions, bid forms, and other bid solicitation information as required.
• Perform and/or manage quantity surveying and pricing for internal budgets.
• Prepare conceptual budgets based on minimal information.
• Review general conditions, schedules, and site logistics as prepared by Operations.
• Maintain and communicate data on construction and material cost trends.
• Price change impacts as required.
