Qualifications

• Thorough knowledge of estimating techniques, cost control and material pricing.
• Reads and comprehends drawings and specifications and identify missing elements during design development.
• Ability to perform conceptual estimates in multiple trades and review estimates in many trades.
• Ability to estimate many types of projects/contracts. Strong communication and multi-tasking.

Responsibilities

• Prepares design/build, engineer, construction management, guaranteed maximum price, and hard-bid estimates/proposals.
• Analyzes quotations prior to bid day and evaluates bids for completeness.
• Identifies scope, delivery time, and compliance with specs and requirements.
• Enters quantity take-offs and material unit pricing for projects.
• Develops subcontractor and vendor scopes and reviews them for completeness.
• Provides guidance to junior staff in estimating procedures and software.
• Manages bid day and close-out activities.
• Coordinates with subcontractors and suppliers for outsource pricing.
• Assists in coordination of overall corporate estimating functions.
