Job summary

Nickle Electrical Company is seeking an experienced estimator to prepare and coordinate full estimates on large, complex projects, delivering conceptual and total bid pricing.

The role requires 8+ years in commercial/industrial/residential estimating, strong knowledge of electrical codes, and proficiency with Accubid and MS Office. You will liaise with clients, review bid opportunities, and ensure accurate take-offs and cost analyses.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum 8 years of commercial, industrial, and/or residential experience or training.
• Knowledge of electrical codes.
• Knowledge of systems (fire alarm, security, etc.).
• Ability to create conceptual estimates from budgetary proposals and expectations.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and manuals.
• Strong math skills and unit conversion.
• Experience with Accubid and MS Office suite.
• Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and coordinate full estimates on large, complex projects.
• Establish relationships with clients, prospective customers, and vendors.
• Review bid notices and advertisements to identify opportunities.
• Attend pre-bid meetings and site walks.
• Review documents, define scope, and perform take-offs.
• Assemble scope letters and verify estimate accuracy before bid delivery.
• Gather material and subcontractor pricing and perform cost analyses.
• Review contracts for accuracy against the estimate.
• Coordinate with operations to ensure proper manpower if awarded.
