Job summary

Lighthouse Electric Company, Inc. is seeking an Estimator to perform day-to-day electrical estimating for complex commercial and industrial projects.

This role involves cost estimating from take-off to bid hand-off, site inspections, and coordination with engineers, customers, and vendors. The ideal candidate has NEC knowledge, hands-on estimating software experience (Accubid Enterprise preferred), and strong ability to read specs and blueprints to produce accurate bids within schedule

Qualifications

• Electrical construction estimating experience
• Knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC)
• Knowledge of estimating software (Accubid Enterprise preferred)
• Ability to read specifications and blueprints and perform computer-based take-offs
• Complete estimates using technology (Bluebeam, LiveCount, BIM models)
• Communicate effectively with customers and internal stakeholders

Responsibilities

• Develops cost estimates from take-off to bid hand-off
• Performs site inspections to determine labor and materials needs
• Analyzes material, labor and conditions to complete a project
• Attends pre-bid and scope review meetings
• Computes and submits bids
• Interprets specs and blueprints to determine design intent
• Coordinates with engineers, customers, vendors, and Project Managers
• Manages quotation process with vendors
• Determines equipment needs
• Travel to jobsites as required
• Support estimates with data and risk assessments
