Job summary

Cortrol Process Systems, part of the Harrington family, is seeking a Senior Estimator to support the sales team and drive accurate project quotes. This role bridges engineering, sales, and operations to deliver competitive estimates while maintaining high service levels for our customers.

You will analyze blueprints and specifications, use ERP systems, and collaborate with customers to clarify scope, aiming for a 24-hour quote turnaround and continuous process improvements.

Qualifications

• Associate degree (or equivalent) in Construction Management, Estimating, or related field.
• 3-5+ years estimating or related experience (industrial, construction, or technical environment preferred).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience reading blueprints and technical documentation (AutoCAD experience is a plus).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Experience with ERP systems (Prelude and ACT! a plus, not required).
• Comfort working with mathematical concepts such as ratios, percentages, and cost analysis.

Responsibilities

• Analyze blueprints, specifications, proposals, and related documentation to develop accurate time, cost, material, and labor estimates
• Utilize ERP systems to create and maintain bills of materials, locate parts, and track quote activity
• Partner closely with sales and customers to clarify scope and gather missing project details
• Collaborate cross-functionally to obtain pricing, lead times, and component information
• Generate customer quotes using internal tools and calculators, with a target turnaround of 24 hours
• Leverage historical data and cost records to improve estimate accuracy
• Participate in design and pre-production reviews as needed
• Identify opportunities to improve estimating processes, tools, and data accuracy
• Ensure quality and accuracy in all work while continuously looking for improvements
