Job summary

PremiStar seeks a Senior Estimator to lead the full estimating cycle for commercial, industrial, and institutional process piping and millwright projects. The role blends advanced technical estimating with opportunity generation, bid strategy, and negotiation authority.

You will mentor the estimating team, collaborate with operations, sales, and project management, and drive competitive, margin-focused cost proposals with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in related fields.
• 7–10+ years of process piping and millwright estimating experience.
• 3+ years in a leadership or supervisory role.
• Proven design/build leadership with code-compliant solutions.
• Advanced understanding of process piping systems and budgeting.

Responsibilities

• Lead, train, and mentor estimators and junior estimating staff.
• Oversee detailed cost estimates including labor, materials, equipment, subcontractor pricing.
• Manage the entire bid process from opportunity evaluation to submission.
• Coordinate bid schedules and ensure timely proposals.
• Collaborate with operations, procurement, and sales for aligned bids.
• Analyze project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Maintain estimating software and cost libraries.
