Job summary

American Capital Group seeks an Estimator III in Bellevue, WA to lead design, bid, and budget efforts for large-scale multifamily and hospitality projects. This on-site role requires coordinating with subs and vendors, preparing quantity take-offs, and supporting budgets using market data.

The candidate will bring 8+ years in construction and 6+ years estimating, with a degree in Construction Management or related field.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering or a related field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of Eight years construction industry experience.
• Minimum of Six years construction estimating experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage design, bid, and project documentation, including drawings, specifications, RFIs, and addenda.
• Set up projects in estimating/bidding platforms and maintain bidder and vendor information.
• Coordinate with subcontractors and trade partners to ensure bid coverage and clarify scopes.
• Perform quantity take-offs and prepare Bid Leveling Sheets to evaluate scope, pricing, and specifications.
• Assist with schematic, DD, CD, GMP, and final construction budgets using market and historical data.
• Analyze plans and specifications, write bid scopes, and support value engineering and competitive bidding.
• Support contract negotiations, bidder feedback, and project handoff to Operations.
• Participate in site visits and project coordination meetings to support quality and estimating accuracy.
• Build strong subcontractor/vendor relationships and support team coaching and mentorship.
