EA Talent Solutions has been engaged by an established utility and heavy civil infrastructure contractor in the Bronx, NY to recruit an experienced Estimator. The role focuses on takeoffs, cost analysis, and end-to-end bid development in a high-volume environment.

The ideal candidate has 8–15 years of estimating experience in heavy civil construction, with proficiency in HCSS HeavyBid and MS Office tools, and a track record bidding for private-sector clients and NYC municipal projects.

Qualifications

• 8–15 years of estimating experience in heavy civil construction.
• Experience estimating for both private-sector clients and NYC municipalities.
• Proficiency with HCSS HeavyBid, MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and MS Project/Primavera.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret plans, specs, and related documents.
• Works well with others and communicates clearly across teams.
• Comfortable working onsite, full-time; strong attendance and physical presence expected.

Responsibilities

• Prepare work to be estimated by gathering proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents.
• Identify labor, material, and time requirements by studying proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents.
• Compute costs by analyzing labor, material, and time requirements.
• Analyze information, plan approach, and report research results to support accurate, competitive bids.
• Prepare estimates for projects across both the private sector and NYC municipal agencies.
• Collaborate with project managers, field staff, and leadership throughout the bid process.
