Job summary

Cash Construction Company, Inc. is seeking a Senior Estimator in Texas to bid and estimate heavy civil and subdivision road projects.

The role requires deep knowledge of civil construction methods, schedules and costs, with the ability to meet critical deadlines and coordinate with operations and estimating teams. The Senior Estimator will lead bid preparation, perform quantity takeoffs, manage vendor relations and present comprehensive estimates for self-performed work.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in heavy civil estimating.
• Experience with earthwork, underground water/wastewater, drainage and street/highway construction.
• Experience with self-perform work.
• Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications.
• Willingness to work in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare bids, select vendors/subcontractors and estimate self-performed crew compositions and production rates.
• Make scope of work determinations and perform quantity take-offs.
• Cultivate and maintain relationships with clients.
• Understand project scope in detail and communicate with Operations and Estimating teams.
• Conduct site visits to assess conditions and identify risks or challenges.
• Develop risk exposure summary with cost impacts and propose value engineering solutions.
• Present complete and accurate estimates to support decision making.
• Represent the company at pre-bids and site visits.
