You will work with project teams, perform takeoffs using On-Screen Takeoff, Quick Bid and Bluebeam, and provide detailed estimates to guide bidding and procurement efforts. This role emphasizes collaboration and precision in a fast-paced construction environment.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed construction estimates by analyzing project plans, specifications and bid documents using On-Screen Takeoff, Quick Bid and Bluebeam software.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers and clients to develop accurate cost projections and identify risks or opportunities early in the bidding process.
• Conduct quantity takeoffs and cost analyses for ACT, framing, drywall, taping, and division 10 specialties.
• Negotiate with subcontractors and suppliers to secure competitive pricing while maintaining quality standards.
• Review contracts, scope of work and change orders to ensure alignment with goals and budget.

Duties

• Conduct thorough quantity takeoffs and cost analyses for ACT, framing, drywall, taping, and division 10 specialties.
• Negotiate with subcontractors and suppliers to secure competitive pricing while maintaining quality standards.
• Review and evaluate contracts, scope of work, and change orders to ensure alignment with project goals and budget constraints.
• Utilize Bluebeam for document markup, review, and collaboration to streamline communication across teams.
• Lead efforts in risk assessment related to pricing strategies and contractual obligations to minimize financial exposure.
• Support project management by providing detailed estimates that inform scheduling, resource allocation, and procurement planning.

Experience

• Proven experience in construction estimating with a strong background in public works/prevailing wage projects.
• Extensive knowledge of Onscreen Takeoff and Quick Bid construction estimating software.
• Demonstrated proficiency in construction site experience coupled with a solid understanding of construction management principles.
• Strong negotiation skills with subcontractors, vendors, and clients to achieve favorable terms.
• Familiarity with contract types, scope development, cost control practices, and project management methodologies.
• Ability to interpret complex drawings and specifications accurately.
• Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration across multidisciplinary teams.
