Job summary

Spencer Ogden is seeking a Senior Estimator to lead foundation bids for electrical infrastructure projects. You’ll apply drilling shafts and shallow-foundation knowledge to complex transmission and substations bids, owning cost estimates and risk review.

You will review drawings and scopes, perform take-offs, manage subcontractor quotes, and present proposals while guiding pricing strategy within a national contractor. This role offers growth and challenging infrastructure work.

Qualifications

• At least three years of construction estimating or equivalent field experience.
• Experience with drilled shafts, flatwork or shallow foundations.
• Background in electrical infrastructure, transmission, substations or heavy civil construction.
• Strong understanding of construction costs, productivity and project risk.
• Proficiency with Excel and estimating tools; degree preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Preparing detailed estimates covering labor, materials, equipment and subcontractors.
• Reviewing drawings, specifications, RFPs and project scopes.
• Completing material, labor and equipment take-offs.
• Leading bid reviews, pre-bid meetings and proposal presentations.
• Developing pricing strategies, risk registers and cost analyses.
