Jobot is seeking an Experienced Estimator for a Nationally Recognized Earthwork Contractor with over 100 years of experience. The role offers a salary between $110,000 and $150,000 per year in the United States, Illinois, Elgin.

The candidate will analyze plans, estimate materials and labor, prepare bid proposals, and negotiate with subcontractors. Benefits include health insurance, retirement plans, PTO, and a company vehicle.

Qualifications

• Experience estimating in a relevant field.
• Proven experience in construction estimating with an understanding of cost control.
• Knowledge of construction management and project management processes.

Responsibilities

• Analyze construction plans and specifications to determine project requirements.
• Estimate the cost of materials, labor, and equipment needed for construction projects.
• Collaborate with project managers and engineers to develop accurate cost estimates.
• Prepare detailed and comprehensive bid proposals for potential clients.
• Negotiate contracts and pricing with subcontractors and suppliers.
• Monitor project costs throughout the construction process to ensure adherence to budget.
• Review and analyze change orders and provide cost impact assessments.
• Utilize construction management software.
