Job summary

AllSearch Professional Staffing, Inc. seeks an Excavation Estimator to support commercial earthwork and sitework bids in the Chicago area, with daily on-site work in Mokena, IL. Base salary ranges from $100k to $145k per year, reflecting experience and division growth.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of earthwork, excavation, or sitework construction experience (estimating or field-based)
• Ability to read and interpret civil/site plans independently
• Experience performing quantity takeoffs for earthwork scopes (grading, excavation)
• Proficiency using construction takeoff or estimating software such as Bluebeam, WinEx Grade, Rocktek

Responsibilities

• Review civil drawings, specs, and bid documents for commercial sitework and earthwork projects
• Perform detailed quantity takeoffs including excavation, grading, and material volumes
• Prepare complete cost estimates, bids, and proposals for assigned projects
• Identify scope gaps, risk factors, and necessary bid clarifications
• Attend pre-bid and post-bid meetings as needed
• Conduct site visits to validate scope and conditions
• Coordinate project handoff to operations and project management teams upon award
• Collaborate with field teams and leadership throughout the estimating process
• Support relationship development with general contractors and project stakeholders
