Job summary

Ampirical in Covington, LA is seeking a Senior Estimator to lead multi-disciplinary cost estimates for engineering projects. You will validate inputs across disciplines, integrate vendor pricing and internal cost models, and mentor junior staff to ensure accurate, risk-informed estimates tied to client and contractual requirements.

• 5+ years of cost estimating experience in engineering, construction, or a related field
• College degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline preferred (experience in lieu of education acceptable)
• Proven ability to lead complex, multi-disciplinary estimates with minimal oversight
• Experience interpreting bid documents/RFPs and reviewing subcontractor quotes
• Advanced Excel proficiency; familiarity with estimating software and document control systems
• Strong communication skills and experience mentoring junior staff
• Powersafe Training required (or willingness to complete upon hire); valid driver's license required
• PMP certification a plus

Your Role: Senior Estimator

As a Senior Estimator at Ampirical, you'll lead the development of comprehensive cost estimates for multi-disciplinary engineering projects. You'll validate inputs across disciplines, oversee the integration of vendor pricing and internal cost models, and navigate complex pricing scenarios with minimal oversight. This role works closely with engineering, procurement, scheduling, and field teams to ensure every estimate is accurate, risk-informed, and aligned with client and contractual requirements, while also mentoring junior staff along the way.

What You’ll Do
