Electrical EstimatorThe Electrical Estimator will work under the supervision of the Estimating Manager to build cost estimates for electrical maintenance, acceptance testing, infrastructure upgrade projects nationwide for the Technical Solution division. This role involves supporting the sales staff on estimates, including job walk-throughs, drawing take-offs, subcontractor pricing, material pricing, labor estimates, service pricing, proposal scope development, and bid coordination.
Primary responsibilities will involve estimating infrastructure projects at customer locations, with experience working with both AC and DC (including High Power DC) being critical. Experience working with data center or mission critical sector is preferred.

- Review and understand documentation such as specifications, drawings, schedules, and other related documents.
- Create accurate proposals and ensure compliance with state-specific rules and requirements.
- Analyze mechanical and electrical drawings.
- Obtain equipment, subcontractor, and material pricing with accurate labor estimates.
- Estimate and develop proposals for new projects.
- Ensure the accuracy of estimates.
- Work with the Manager to maintain a library of estimates based on style and type of job.
Project Management Skills:- Coordinate closely with related departments to maintain schedules and make necessary revisions.
- Manage proposal scope development and bid coordination.
- Update and maintain Bid Calendar/Workload Tracker/Salesforce CRM.
- Qualify bid opportunities based on workloads and core capabilities.
- Ensure the Proposal review process is followed prior to release.
- Attend project site visits and pre-bid meetings, as required.
- Travel to job sites to perform an onsite evaluation of facility and equipment identified in the Customer's scope of work and/or to assist internal customers with estimating projects, contracts, or proposals.
Communication Skills:- Achieve high customer satisfaction through effective communication of both technical and non-technical topics.
- Review proposals with clients and drive to close.
- Provide estimating support for the sales staff.
- Attend networking and training events as it relates to sales and estimating.
- Work and thrive in a TEAM environment.
Organizational Skills:- Upload documents onto the SharePoint Site and create designated folders for each job opportunity.
- Work independently and meet weekly, monthly, and annual goals.
- Demonstrate strong planning skills.
- Maintain a quality and safety-oriented approach.
- Perform other duties as assigned, with job duties subject to modification.
Minimum Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or 10 years of work-related experience in acceptance testing or electrical construction.
- Minimum five (5) years of experience in electrical estimating.
- Understanding of the most current NETA testing, NFPA 70E, NFPA 70B, NFPA 110, and NEC requirements.
- Prior experience with estimating software is a plus.
- Microsoft Office proficiency.
- Ability to travel locally up to 40% of the time.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet weekly, monthly, and annual goals.
- Demonstrate strong planning skills.
- Maintain a quality and safety-oriented approach.
Preferred Qualifications:- CRM Knowledge: Familiarity with Salesforce or equivalent CRM.
