Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or Construction Science Engineering or equivalent experience.
• A minimum of 10 years' related experience.
• Advanced understanding of Microsoft Office software.
• Advanced understanding of construction estimating concepts, construction scheduling and risk.
• Intermediate Management fundamentals.
• Able to lead small project estimates.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must.
• Sponsorship (visa) for US employment authorization is not available now or in the future for this position.

Responsibilities

• Perform general or discipline cost estimating for capital and services.
• Support estimate reporting and reviews.
• Provide technical direction to assigned personnel.
• Execute multiple tasks within defined parameters.
• Prepare cost estimates in specialized discipline areas using current market pricing.
• Prepare cost/schedule products for proposals or contract negotiations.
• Provide input on level of effort through coordination with functions and vendors.
• Takeoffs from design drawings for multidiscipline sections.
• Prepare pricing for field office and home office costs.
• Produce capital cost estimates using crew-based approaches.
• Provide pricing for manual labor rates and unit rates.
• Develop conceptual quantities to support design-build documents.
• Prepare basis and assumption documentation.
• Calculate fee based on established model.
• Spread escalation based on schedule and costs.
• Analyze project cash models and time value of money.
• Generate payment schedules.
• Support risk analysis and contingency efforts.
• Assist in staffing, hours and pricing data.
• Perform data analysis and identify problems.
• Identify data sources and data acquisition techniques.
• Prepare reports and estimate summaries for reviews.
• Participate in estimate reviews and presentations.
• Support training activities as needed.
• Perform other duties as needed.
