Job summary

HDR is seeking a Senior Estimator to lead multi-discipline cost estimating for complex infrastructure projects. You will develop capital and service estimates, analyze data, and provide actionable recommendations to improve cost efficiency.

The role requires deep knowledge of MEP and civil disciplines, proficiency with industry tools, and the ability to guide teams through estimate reviews and presentations. HDR emphasizes employee ownership and a collaborative, inclusive culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or Construction Science Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Advanced understanding of Microsoft Office software.
• Advanced understanding of construction estimating concepts, construction scheduling and risk management.

Responsibilities

• Perform general or discipline cost estimating generating capital cost and/or services estimates; analyze data, identify problems and make recommendations.
• Support estimate reporting and reviews.
• Provide technical direction to assigned personnel when delegated.
• Prepare services, distributable, contractor indirect and/or capital cost estimates in specialized discipline areas using current techniques and market pricing.
• Prepare cost/schedule products for proposals or contract negotiations.
• Consolidate input for costing and provide input on level of effort through coordination with functions and vendors.
