Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking an experienced estimator in the United States to prepare design/build, engineer, construction management, GMP, and hard-bid estimates/proposals. You will analyze quotations, evaluate subcontractor bids, and enter quantity take-offs and material pricing for projects in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires deep knowledge of estimating techniques, cost control, and the ability to interpret drawings and specifications.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 8 years of related experience.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required.
• Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.

Responsibilities

• Prepares design/build, engineer, construction management, guaranteed maximum price, and hard-bid estimates/proposals.
• Analyzes quotations prior to and on bid day.
• Evaluates bids of sub-contractors and suppliers for scope, delivery time, and spec compliance.
• Enters quantity take-offs and material unit pricing for projects.
