Job summary

North Wind Group seeks a Senior Estimator to join our team. You will work with the Regional & Company Estimating Manager to develop estimates, review RFPs, and lead bid activities across multiple sites including Knoxville, Idaho Falls, or Las Vegas.

You will perform takeoffs, develop BOEs, coordinate subcontractor solicitations, and ensure bid strategy aligns with company goals. Travel 0-25% and ability to obtain security clearance are required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of estimator experience is required for the Estimator II.
• Experience with the design-build project delivery format is preferred.
• Experience with preparing estimates based on concept level bidding documents.
• Experience with developing complete scopes of work from concept level documents.
• Experience in working with subcontractors to ensure undefined costs are captured.
• Some experience with estimate team management is required.
• Experience with Basis of Estimate (BOE) development and LOE estimating is preferred.
• Experience with Federal Government Contracting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform takeoffs on a wide variety of features of work.
• Develop complete project estimates and keep resource libraries updated.
• Collaborate with Capture Managers and SMEs to plan staffing and indirect costs.
• Ensure bid strategy aligns with company mission and capabilities.
• Develop BOE for various work types and maintain bid documentation.
• Lead bid reviews with company management and participate in debriefs.
• Coordinate subcontractor solicitations and maintain bidder database.
• Travel to meetings and site visits as needed and support pre-bid schedules.
