Job summary

North Wind Group is seeking a Senior Estimator to support estimate development, RFP reviews, and bid strategies across design-build and design-bid-build projects. The role involves collaborating with Regional & Company Estimating Manager to complete estimates, perform takeoffs, and develop resource libraries.

You will coordinate with subcontractors, architects, and engineers to build accurate BOEs, track schedules, and travel for meetings and site visits within the North Wind operational area.

Qualifications

• 2+ Years of Estimator Experience is required for the Estimator II.
• Experience with design-build project delivery is preferred.
• Experience with preparing estimates based on concept-level bidding documents.
• Experience with developing scopes of work based on concept-level bidding documents.
• Experience with working with subcontractors to capture undefined costs.
• Some experience with estimate team management is required.
• Experience with Architects and Engineers during estimate development is preferred.
• Experience with Basis of Estimate (BOE) development and LOE estimating is preferred.
• Experience with both General Construction and Environmental Remediation work is preferred.
• Experience with Federal Government Contracting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform takeoffs on a wide variety of features of work.
• Develop complete project estimates and project resource libraries.
• Work with Capture Managers and SMEs to develop staffing plans and indirect estimates.
• Ensure bid strategy aligns with company mission and capabilities.
• Develop Basis of Estimates (BOE) for various work types.
• Maintain document control for bid documents and quotes.
• Collaborate with project teams to ensure practical bidding strategies.
• Develop subcontractor solicitation process and lead that activity.
• Produce complete quote comparisons and price cataloging.
• Travel to meetings and site visits within North Wind's operational area.
