Job summary

Core & Main, based in St. Louis and serving nationwide, seeks a Senior Estimator to lead quantity takeoffs for complex infrastructure projects and guide Estimators I and II. You will interpret plans, select materials, and support value engineering to craft competitive bids.

In this role, you will collaborate with sales, Pre-Bid, engineers, and vendors, providing technical leadership and coaching to the team while identifying cost-saving opportunities and lead-time improvements.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of estimating experience in construction or critical infrastructure.
• Experience coordinating with engineering teams, contractors, and vendors.
• Ability to interpret plans, specifications, and drawings with high accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Lead quantity takeoffs for complex infrastructure projects.
• Review drawings and design concepts to provide material takeoff.
• Support advanced bid strategies with the sales team and coordinate with stakeholders.
• Coach and guide Estimators I and II, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
• Provide technical resource support to the estimating team.
