Job summary

Core & Main is seeking a Senior Estimator for the Critical Infrastructure Group to develop accurate quantity takeoffs for complex infrastructure projects. You will provide technical material takeoffs, identify options, support value engineering, and collaborate with the sales and Pre-Bid teams to craft competitive bid strategies.

The role also includes oversight of Estimator I and II, coaching, and serving as a technical resource for the estimating team.

Qualifications

5+ years of estimating experience in construction or critical infrastructure.
Experience performing complex takeoffs on large-scale projects.
Proven collaboration with engineering teams, contractors, and vendors.
Bachelor’s degree preferred in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.

Responsibilities

Leads quantity takeoffs for complex and large-scale infrastructure projects.
Interprets detailed plans, specifications, notes, and engineering drawings with a high level of accuracy.
Identifies specialty materials and evaluates material options according to project specifications.
Reviews drawings and design concepts to provide material takeoff and cost estimation.
Leads pretakeoff and posttakeoff meetings to ensure clear communication and scope alignment.
Coordinates with contractors, engineers, and vendors to resolve complex material questions.
