Job summary

Onsite Group LLC in Houston, TX seeks an experienced Estimator to help drive profitable projects by gathering information and producing accurate cost estimates. The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, and has a proven track record in estimation.

You will study project scope, collect plans and specifications, determine labor and material costs, and prepare bids for project managers. Knowledge of Timberline or HCSS HeavyBid is a plus; experience in forecasting and negotiation will be

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
Certified Professional Estimator (CPE) preferred.
Previous estimator experience preferred.
Forecast building costs and knowledge of estimation formulas.
Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
Skilled in Timberline, HCSS HeavyBid.
Excellent research, writing, and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

Fully understand the project scope and requirements by studying documentation, meeting with clients, and visiting relevant locations.
Collect necessary documentation such as plans, drawings, and project specifications.
Determine the key variables for cost and conduct research to determine expected labor and materials costs.
Gather bids and negotiate with service providers to secure the best possible prices.
Create and submit estimates to project managers.
Budget and forecast using appropriate software.
