Job summary

W3Global is seeking a Senior Estimator for a specialty contractor with projects across NJ, NY and PA. The role leads estimating and preconstruction by reviewing project documents, developing estimates, evaluating costs and risks, preparing bids, and supporting handoffs.

You will review drawings, perform quantity takeoffs, solicit subcontractor quotes and contribute to bid packages for successful project delivery. A background in concrete restoration or related trades is preferred.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of construction estimating and/or project management experience.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications.
• Strong understanding of construction means, methods and costs.
• Experience with Bluebeam Revu, PlanSwift or similar estimating software.
• Organized, detail-oriented and able to independently manage multiple bids.

Responsibilities

• Review drawings, specifications and project requirements.
• Perform detailed quantity takeoffs and develop complete estimates.
• Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits.
• Evaluate labor, materials, equipment, access, staging and phasing.
• Solicit and analyze subcontractor and vendor quotations.
• Identify scope gaps, risks and value-engineering opportunities.
• Prepare bid packages and proposals.
• Participate in bid reviews and project handoffs to operations.
