Job summary

Griffith Company, a California-based general contractor with over 120 years of history, seeks a Senior Estimator for its Alternative Delivery team. The role focuses on CMGC and Progressive Design Build bids, delivering accurate estimates for private and public works.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years of heavy civil estimating and 3+ years in the field, plus strong leadership and risk analysis skills. Proficiency in P6, SureTrak, and MS Project is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience in heavy civil estimating.
• 10+ years estimating heavy civil projects; 3+ years field experience in heavy civil environments.
• Experience with alternative delivery projects (CMGC/Design-Build) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review specs, drawings, soils, and site conditions to define scope.
• Lead bid team; coordinate with subcontractors and vendors.
• Manage bid documents, risk and cost factors; ensure completeness and accuracy.
• Monitor bid changes and ensure proper handoff if awarded.
• Oversee pre-bid RFIs and bid closings; train Estimating staff.
