Job summary

SteveRecruiter, LLC in Nashville, TN is seeking a Senior Civil Estimator to lead our Civil Precon Department. You will oversee and present competitive cost estimates for paving projects and drive bid success.

You will mentor junior estimators, develop estimating templates, and provide value engineering recommendations to win more work while ensuring on-time submissions. Qualified candidates have 5+ years of civil estimating experience and strong proficiency in Excel, Bluebeam, and related

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as an estimator in the civil industry.
• Proven track record of estimating a range of civil projects (excavation, paving, grading, etc).
• Proficient in necessary software including Excel, Bluebeam (+ HeavyBid, Bid-To-Win, AGTEK - preferred but not required).
• Excellent communication, client/business development and negotiation abilities.
• Sense of Urgency on submitting complete bids (on time) is absolutely essential.

Responsibilities

• Analyze drawings, specifications, and other documentation to prepare detailed cost estimates.
• Lead bid processes for public and private sector projects.
• Identify labor, materials, and time requirements by studying proposals and plans.
• Solicit and analyze subcontractor and supplier quotes.
• Prepare bid packages and present final estimates to senior management.
• Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits when necessary.
• Provide value engineering recommendations.
• Maintain historical cost data and develop estimating templates and tools.

We are searching for an experienced Estimator in Nashville to lead our Civil Precon Department.

As our Senior Civil Estimator - you will oversee, approve & present our competitive cost estimates for all paving projects we perform. Furthermore, Your expertise will directly impact the company’s ability to win more work and execute on those potential projects -- so We are looking for the Right Person to lead ( and grow) our preconstruction team.
