Food Management Search, Inc. is seeking a Senior Civil Estimator to lead our Civil Precon Department in Nashville. You will oversee, approve and present cost estimates for paving projects, helping win work and guide the preconstruction team.

The role requires 5+ years in civil estimation, strong communication and leadership, and proficiency with Excel, Bluebeam and related tools. Competitive compensation includes bonus, allowances, 401(k) matching and PTO.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as an estimator in the civil industry.
• Proven track record of estimating a range of civil projects (excavation, paving, grading, etc).
• Proficient in necessary software is preferred including Excel, Bluebeam (+ HeavyBid, Bid-To-Win, AGTEK -preferred but not required).
• Excellent communication, client/business development and negotiation abilities.
• Sense of Urgency on submitting complete bids (on time) is absolutely essential.

Responsabilités

• Lead bid processes for public and private sector projects.
• Identify labor, materials, and time requirements by studying proposals and plans.
• Solicit and analyze subcontractor and supplier quotes.
• Prepare bid packages and present final estimates to senior management.
• Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits when necessary.
• Provide value engineering recommendations.
• Maintain historical cost data and develop estimating templates and tools.
• Mentor junior estimators and contribute to process improvements.

We are searching for an experienced Estimator in Nashville to lead our Civil Precon Department.

As our Senior Civil Estimator - you will oversee, approve & present our competitive cost estimates for all paving projects we perform. Furthermore, Your expertise will directly impact the company’s ability to win more work and execute on those potential projects -- so We are looking for the Right Person to lead ( and grow) our preconstruction team.
