Job summary

MasTec Civil, a MasTec company, is seeking an Estimator to support the Nashville, TN market. Ideal candidate has 5+ years in heavy civil estimating and at least 2 years field experience on roadways and bridges, with knowledge of design-build and design-bid-build contracts.

You will develop budgets, perform quantity takeoffs, coordinate with suppliers, lead bid submittals, and mentor junior engineers while collaborating with project teams to optimize costs and schedules.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in Heavy Civil.
• Minimum 2 years of field experience in heavy civil construction (roads/bridges).

Responsibilities

• Understand bid items, basis of estimate, and discrepancies in plans.
• Build green sheet estimates, activity structure, schedules, and risk analysis.
• Create budgets for awarded contracts and review bid submittals.
• Coordinate with suppliers/subcontractors to quote scope of work.
• Lead estimating discussions with company executives.
• Perform quantity takeoffs within deadlines.
