Job summary

Energy Jobline ZR is seeking a Chief Estimator in Texas to lead the estimating department, drive bid strategy, and oversee pricing decisions across the project portfolio. This senior role partners with executive leadership to shape pursuit strategies and ensure competitive, accurate cost estimates.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in estimating, with 3+ in leadership, experience in excavation/earthwork, and a bachelor’s degree in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of estimating experience, including 3+ years in a department leadership or management role
• Excavation, earthwork, or underground utility experience
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field; equivalent experience considered

Responsibilities

• Direct and manage the estimating department, including staffing and workload distribution
• Oversee preparation and final review of all major bids and proposals
• Partner with executive leadership on bid/no-bid decisions and strategic pursuits
• Build and maintain relationships with major clients, subcontractors, and suppliers
• Support project handoff and post-award scope clarification between estimating and operations
