CDM Smith is seeking a seasoned estimator to join our team in the United States. You will prepare design/build and CM estimates, analyze bids, and develop subcontractor scopes while guiding junior staff in estimating processes.

Travel is expected at 20% to 40% of duties, with responsibilities spanning multiple projects and contract types. Strong knowledge of cost control, drawings interpretation, and pricing is essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• 8 years of related experience. Travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Prepares estimates and proposals for design/build, engineer, CM, GMP, and hard-bid projects.
• Analyzes quotations prior to bid day.
• Evaluates bids of subcontractors and suppliers for scope, delivery time and specs.
• Enters quantity take-offs and material unit pricing.
• Recognizes and applies appropriate WBS structure.
• Prepares opinions of probable construction costs.
• Develops subcontractor and vendor scopes for review.
• Guides junior staff in estimating procedures and software.
• Manages bid day and close-out activities.
• Performs additional duties as required.
