Eastern Glass and Aluminum, Norcross, GA, is seeking a Senior Estimator (Metal Panel) to develop accurate scopes, prepare detailed takeoffs, and manage bid effort for architectural metal panel systems nationwide.

The role requires reviewing bids, selecting systems based on performance and budget, and mentoring junior estimators from preconstruction through award. A strong understanding of market conditions and vendor coordination is essential.

Responsibilities

• Analyze architectural drawings, specifications, and addenda to develop clear, complete scopes of work.
• Prepare detailed quantity takeoffs and cost estimates for architectural metal panel systems (ACM/MCM, IMP, single-skin, perforated, plate systems).
• Review bid invitations and assess project suitability, risk, and resources.
• Evaluate performance requirements and select panel systems based on technical compliance, constructability, schedule, and budget.
• Identify value engineering opportunities and propose alternate panel systems or materials.
• Solicit, review, and evaluate vendor pricing to ensure scope alignment and competitive bids.
• Maintain awareness of market conditions, pricing trends, and lead times for estimating and procurement.
• Coordinate with metal panel manufacturers and suppliers based on capabilities and project needs.
• Recommend design modifications or alternate systems to address constructability or cost challenges.
• Work with project management to ensure smooth handoff after award and clear scope communications.
• Coordinate with general contractors, owners, and design teams during bidding to maintain alignment.
• Represent the company at pre-bid meetings, site walks, and bid interviews.
