Apogee Architectural Metals, a segment of Apogee Enterprises, Inc., seeks an Estimator III to prepare regular production cost estimates from customer takeoffs and architectural documents. The role may lead estimating efforts on strategic projects, pricing complex bids, and coordinating with engineering, project management, and sales for optimal solutions.

Qualifications

• Education: 2 year technical degree or related experience preferred.
• Minimum of five years of related experience required.
• Robust business, process, and industry knowledge.
• Costing and pricing experience required.
• Strong analytical and mathematical skills; ability to review and optimize costs.

Responsibilities

• Provide training and support workload decision making of Estimating I and II associates.
• Act as a technical resource across the organization and evaluate RFP/RFQ.
• Create formal quotes and bids; price complex, high value projects.
• Lead estimating for strategic projects or large volume customers as needed.
• Collaborate with engineering, project management and sales for effective solutions.
