Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Senior Estimator in Virginia Beach, VA to join our on-site team on a permanent basis. You will prepare detailed cost estimates, track bids, and work with project managers to align estimates with project scope.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of estimating in construction, knowledge of design-build projects, and strong negotiation and analytical skills. You will develop proposals and help drive competitive bids while upholding safety and quality standards.

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of estimating experience in the construction industry.
• Experience with design-build projects and providing cost input.
• Proficiency in cost estimation software and tools.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and legal requirements.
• Proficiency in cost estimation software and tools.
• Excellent negotiation skills with a track record of securing favorable terms.
• Experience in design build projects and the ability to provide accurate cost input.
• Deep knowledge of building construction, including new construction, renovation, and restoration.
• Proven ability to develop detailed written proposals that clearly communicate project costs and timelines.
• Strong analytical skills with an ability to interpret complex technical drawings and specifications.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
• Professional certification in estimating or a related field is preferred.
