Job summary

GH Engage, a Long Island-based commercial construction and development firm, seeks a Senior Estimator to lead preconstruction and shape pursuit strategies. You’ll run complex estimates from concept to bid and influence cost data, systems, and strategy behind every pursuit.

You’ll lead a team, manage risk early, and drive value for clients across industrial, multifamily, education, hospitality, and office sectors. This is a true leadership seat, not a desk job.

Qualifications

• Lead estimating and preconstruction for commercial projects across multiple sectors.
• Prepare conceptual, schematic, GMP, negotiated, and hard-bid estimates.
• Run comprehensive quantity takeoffs and scope analysis.
• Review drawings, specs, and documents for completeness, constructability, and risk.
• Develop value engineering recommendations and cost-saving strategies.
• Mentor junior estimators and build out the estimating team.

A Long Island-based commercial construction and development firm (over five decades in business, family-founded, and growing) is hiring a Senior Estimator to lead preconstruction and help shape how the company pursues and wins work.

This is a leadership seat, not a desk in the corner. You'll run complex estimates from conceptual budget through final bid across a genuinely varied portfolio, with real influence over the systems, cost data, and strategy behind every pursuit. What you bring

• 10+ years of commercial construction estimating experience (preferred)
• Strong grasp of construction means and methods across multiple asset classes
• Ability to run large, complex estimates independently
• Sharp analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
• Confidence managing multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Experience with conceptual estimating, GMP development, and value engineering
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and estimating software
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Bachelor's in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field (preferred)
