Job summary

Walker Bowen Talent Partners seeks an experienced Estate Planning Attorney to lead a sophisticated practice and mentor junior attorneys and staff. The role emphasizes drafting, high-net-worth planning, and collaboration with elder law colleagues across multiple states.

The ideal candidate has strong technical skills, independent matter management, and a vision to grow the estate planning department within an established firm.

Qualifications

• Significant experience practicing in estate planning.
• Exceptional drafting skills with independent document creation.
• Strong client counseling, communication, organization, and judgment.
• Experience supervising, mentoring, and developing attorneys and paralegals.
• Familiarity with Clio Manage and Clio Grow is a plus, training available.

Responsibilities

• Advise high-net-worth clients on sophisticated estate planning and related strategies.
• Independently draft, review, and produce complex estate planning documents.
• Develop comprehensive estate plans based on clients' finances and family goals.
• Work across multiple states within a multi-jurisdictional practice.
• Collaborate with elder law practice on asset protection and document-based strategies.
• Manage matters independently with high responsiveness and service.
• Supervise and direct paralegals supporting estate planning matters.
• Mentor junior attorneys in drafting and technical knowledge.
• Help establish best practices, workflows, templates, and standards.
• Assume a leadership role to grow the estate planning practice.
