Job summary

Saft America, Inc. is seeking an ESS Service Engineer to support O&M of installed ESS projects and oversee transition to LTSA. You will close out engineering actions and support Saft teams and authorized agents during LTSA and O&M.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years in systems/electrical engineering, knowledge of power and battery systems, and experience with ESS integration and controllers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in engineering (required).
• Minimum 8 years professional experience with systems and/or electrical engineering.
• Knowledge in power systems, battery systems and controls.
• Business understanding in electricity, power generation, energy.

Responsibilities

• Validates project documentation with the project engineering team and reviews design specs to support the customer and services team.
• Provides technical interface with customer/subcontractor for troubleshooting, diagnosis, and root cause analysis during operations.
• Understands interfaces of BESS, PCS, PPC/SCADA, and PMS; interprets diagrams and validates switching procedures.
• Reviews specifications and certifications of BESS integration after transition to O&M; supports system development of power systems and plant management/SCADA systems.
• Defines action plans and creates work instructions for Saft technicians, customers, and subcontractors to perform onsite work.
