Job summary

Abbott in Abbott Park, IL seeks a Senior Analyst, ESG Financial Reporting to support external ESG disclosures and internal controls over reporting. You will assess new ESG requirements, collaborate with Global Citizenship, GEHS, Legal, and Internal Audit, and help design governance around data collection and reporting.

The role offers exposure to CSRD, ISSB, IFRS standards and opportunities to contribute to the Global Sustainability Report while developing expertise in sustainability accounting

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• External reporting or prior public accounting experience preferred
• Fundamentals of Sustainability Accreditation – IFRS Foundation Accounting preferred
• Strong written and verbal skills enabling effective communication with all levels of management

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing EU CSRD, IFRS - ISSB and other external reporting ESG reporting requirements.
• Work closely with Global Citizenship, GEHS, Corporate Legal, HR, Internal Audit to assess and collect ESG data.
• Assist in researching requirements for new sustainability regulations.
• Assist with identifying and implementing internal controls related to ESG reporting.
• Collaborate with Global Citizenship and Internal Audit to support ESG reporting reviews such as the Global Sustainability Report.
• Support training on financial reporting aspects of ESG, as needed.
