Job summary

Abbott Park, IL is seeking a Senior Analyst, ESG Financial Reporting to support ESG external reporting requirements and governance. The role focuses on data collection, controls, and cross-functional collaboration with Legal, HR, Internal Audit, and sustainability teams.

The position involves research on new regulations, process design, and training across the organization, enabling compliant ESG disclosures and robust financial reporting tied to sustainability initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field with 4+ years of experience.
• External reporting or prior public accounting experience preferred
• Fundamentals of Sustainability Accreditation – IFRS Foundation Accounting preferred
• Strong written and verbal skills enabling effective communication with all levels of management

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing CSRD, IFRS - ISSB and other external ESG reporting requirements.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to assess and implement processes to collect and validate ESG data for disclosures.
• Assists in researching requirements for new sustainability regulations.
• Assist with the identification and implementation of internal controls related to ESG reporting.
• Work with Global Citizenship and Internal Audit to assist in ESG reporting processes and reviews.
• Support training and education on ESG financial reporting aspects.
• Assist in accounting research of sustainability-related transactions.
