Job summary

Layton Construction seeks an experienced Environmental Safety & Health (ESH) Manager to lead safety programs across multiple U.S. project sites. You will ensure compliance with OSHA, MSHA, DOT, and EPA regulations, develop corporate safety trends, and drive CCIP initiatives with subcontractors.

The role requires strong leadership, coaching, and collaboration with cross-functional teams. You will oversee incident reviews, audits, and training, while supporting injury management and cost control.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of ESH experience.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA, MSHA, DOT, EPA regulations.
• Accreditations preferred: CHST, ASP, CSP, ICRA.
• Previous CCIP experience preferred.
• Basic Spanish language communication preferred.
• Industrial hygiene knowledge and best practices.
• Skilled communicator—verbal and written presentations.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Teams).

Responsibilities

• Implement corporate, field, and office ESH policies and procedures across assigned units/sites.
• Establish and reinforce safety culture across project sites.
• Manage safety programs on all assigned projects, including CCIP and risk management initiatives.
• Provide regulatory and policy guidance and perform training.
• Review audits, observations, and injury statistics to identify risks and propose safety programs.
• Interface with leadership and government agencies (OSHA, EPA, MSHA).
• Oversee incident reporting and accident prevention.
• Support injury management and cost control.
• Develop and oversee project-specific safety programs.
