Job summary

Layton Construction seeks an Environmental Health and Safety professional to implement corporate, field, and office ESH policies across project sites. You will manage safety programs, conduct audits, and provide regulatory guidance to ensure compliance and injury prevention. Extensive travel across the U.S. is required.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years of ESH experience, OSHA/MSHA knowledge, and CCIP familiarity. Strong communication skills and proficiency with MS Office are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Safety & Health or related field.
• 5+ years of ESH experience required.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA, MSHA, DOT, EPA regulations.
• Accreditations preferred: CHST, ASP, CSP, ICRA.
• Previous CCIP experience preferred.
• Ability to travel extensively across the U.S.
• Basic Spanish language communication preferred.
• Industrial hygiene knowledge and best practices.
• Skilled communicator - verbal and written presentations.

Responsibilities

• Champion safety standards across multiple project sites.
• Uphold safety culture by focusing on honesty, unity, safety, and quality.
• Manage safety programs including CCIP and other risk initiatives.
• Provide regulatory guidance and interpretation of ESH policies.
• Oversee incident reviews, audits, and safety training across sites.
• Interface with leadership, subcontractors, and government agencies (OSHA, MSHA).
• Develop and implement project-specific safety programs.
