Job summary

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven ERP Project Manager to oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of our ERP implementation. This role will lead the rollout of VAI S2K Enterprise version 6.2 or a comparable ERP system used in distribution and manufacturing environments.

The Project Manager will bridge executive leadership, department heads, internal technical teams, third-party consultants, and software vendors to deliver a successful implementation.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of project management delivering full-lifecycle ERP implementations, upgrades, or major ERP transformation initiatives.
• Experience with VAI S2K Enterprise, including version 6.2.
• Experience with distribution/manufacturing ERP functions, including order processing, purchasing, inventory, warehousing, and general ledger/accounting.
• Experience coordinating ERP vendors, systems integrators, third-party consultants, and internal cross-functional teams.
• Working knowledge of data migration, EDI and API integrations, warehouse management systems, and ERP reporting/analytics.
• Ability to apply waterfall, agile, or hybrid delivery methodologies and use project-management tools such as Microsoft Project, Jira, Asana, or Monday.com.
• Proficient in IT and ERP-related applications, integrations, data-management practices, and infrastructure concepts.

Responsibilities

• Define project scope, goals, milestones, deliverables, governance, and reporting cadence with leadership and stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain the project plan, budget, resource plan, risk register, issue log, and change-control process.
• Serve as the primary liaison among the ERP vendor, implementation consultants, internal teams, and business stakeholders.
• Lead discovery workshops to document current-state processes and design future-state workflows across finance, order management, purchasing, inventory, warehouse operations, customer service, and related functions.
• Coordinate data extraction, cleansing, mapping, validation, and migration from legacy systems; ensure integrity of master data, item records, customer data, pricing, inventory, and financial balances.
• Plan and lead conference room pilots, system/integration testing, user acceptance testing, defect triage, and readiness reviews.
• Develop and execute a change-management and communications plan, including role-based training, end-user documentation, and SOPs.
• Lead cutover planning, go-live execution, and post-go-live hypercare, escalating and resolving operational issues promptly.
• Provide clear, regular project-status updates to leadership, including progress against milestones, dependencies, decisions required, risks, and mitigation plans.
