Job summary

New Jersey Department of Education (NJDOE) is seeking a Senior Business Project Manager (ERP Implementation) for a 12-month hybrid engagement in Trenton, NJ. The role oversees strategic project management, process analysis, and change management while auditing NJDOE’s internal processes for a successful cutover to NJHIVE.

The position requires 8–10 years of ERP project experience, a BPM focus, and strong stakeholder leadership. On-site interviews are required in Trenton, NJ.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of cross-functional PM/BA hybrid experience.
• 8+ years of business process mapping and tools experience.
• 8+ years of change management & communications planning experience.
• 6+ years of ERP/financial system implementations (2+ deployments).
• LinkedIn profile required.
• Public sector/government finance experience highly desired (5+ years).
• Data conversion & report auditing experience highly desired (5+ years).
• Low-code workflow automation experience highly desired (3+ years).
• PMP certification highly desired.
• CBAP or Prosci certification highly desired.

Responsibilities

• Lead project governance and coordination among NJDOE leadership, OIT, OMB, vendors, and the NJHIVE team.
• Audit, document, and map fiscal workflows into a comprehensive Fiscal Operations Process Library.
• Assess interfaces, data conversion risks, and workflow dependencies for legacy systems.
• Inventory and update mission-critical fiscal reports to align with the NJHIVE COA.
• Design and execute a change management and communications plan; develop training materials.
• Coordinate testing, cutover, and hypercare support through the first full fiscal year post go-live.
